August the Month of Change

Every year come August, a silent fear and trepidation creeps on the hearts of every Kenya, traditional, superstitious, Christians alike wonder Who? What? How?

Whether by design or coincidence the most momentous occasions that have shaken Kenya to the core happen mainly in August ditto:

  • August 22 1978 - the founding father of Kenya Mzee Jomo Kenyata Dies
  • August 1st 1981 - the first military coup Attempt - thousands die.
  • August 7th 1998 - Terrorist suicide bombers attack Nairobi city building Killing hundreds.
  • August  23rd 2003 - Kijana Wamalwa a post 2nd liberation Vice president dies
  •  and the list goes on.

This August 4th 2010 the youth of this country have an opportunity embedded with historic significance to remove the yoke of subjugation and take on the reigns of their destiny as Kenyan Youth the only future of this country.

The combined age of our 2 Principals President Kibaki  79 and Prime Minister Odinga 66 is more that the combined ages of the presidents of USA (Obama -48), Britain (cameron - 43) and Russia (Medvedev - 45 ) combined.
Our time is now, Time for the new generation to regenerate Kenya and for the sexagenerians/septageneraians/octagenerains to degenerate in retirement and let the next generation generate fresh ideas on their own future. We respect your time of service but frankly, you are like fish out of water in this dot com age. Our time is NOW and August 4th, we finaly liberate Kenya from OLD-ism.

Our Time Has Come...

For 150yrs old fat guys ruled us in the name of the Queen, King or majesty in between. In 1963 we said byebye to the queen and acquired new rulers, dark skinned like we were, they spoke our language, lived in our villages, they married our women, bore our siblings, sisters, brothers, uncles and aunties. We lived the dream aluta accompli, the struggle was over time to deal affirmatively with ignorance, poverty and disease, grow coffee and tea and earl a JUST wage...

Alas... 47 yrs later 50% of all our population lives below the poverty line..(thats double the entire population in 1963), only 10% of the population has access to good health and despite UPE(universal free primary education) 47% of Kenya youth (24yrs and under) cannot read and write, 40% of the entire population is unemployed and here's the big one 65% of the current population was born after Independence!

Yet 90% of our rulers (yes rulers no leaders) are aged 63 and above they cant tell a dotComfrom a dotted line, were at hand to receive princess Elizabeth at the tree tops hotel (that fateful night when she slept a princess and woke up a queen. They are old and scraggy relics of the old who are trying to affect the New.

Wake up Kenya, yes you the youth, the built strapling youth, the backbone of Kenya, the Achilles heel of Kenya, the heckler at the rally and the ammunition during land clashes, wake up and take cognizance that you are the future... the only future for Kenya your future. Step up to the plate, raise your voices to be heard, be at one with the rest of the world and go young.

Obama - 47, Cameron - 43, nick clegg - 43 sarkozy - 54, - the works is electing Young leaders people who understand the world as it is not those who were there when God made the world.

Kibaki - 78, Raila - 66, saitoti - 65, mugabe - 83, zuma - 67, Mubarak - 81, Gaddafi - 68 and the list goes on. Old rulers creaking all over the place reminiscing the past like the invention of the light bulb, the discovery that the world is round etc.
The time is now time to take the reigns and bundle these old people into retirement... Vote NO in the August 4th referendum and get a dot com javascript enables facebook compliant constitution in 2 weeks via online collaboration.
